Meet Darcentia Turner, the visionary behind First Stroke Aquatics, a leading mobile swim school dedicated to revolutionizing swimming education. With over 25 years of extensive experience in aquatics, including competitive swimming from K-12 through collegiate levels, Darcentia brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as CEO.

 

Darcentia's journey began with a deep-rooted passion for teaching, nurtured over years of instructing swim lessons and witnessing the transformative impact of swimming on individuals of all ages. Armed with her Red Cross certification as a swim instructor and trainer, she embarked on a mission to create a mobile swim school that would break barriers and inspire confidence in water.

 

First Stroke Aquatics is more than just a swim school—it's a gentle approach. Darcentia's vision is to challenge conventional notions about water, particularly for those grappling with fear or apprehension. Her mantra, "Water is gentle, water is not the enemy," serves as a guiding principle, fostering a culture of empowerment and inclusivity.

 

Under Darcentia's leadership, First Stroke Aquatics offers personalized instruction and a nurturing environment where individuals of all backgrounds can thrive. Through innovative teaching methods and unwavering dedication, Darcentia and her team empower students to take that crucial first stroke towards water confidence and mastery.

What is your water story? First Stroke Aquatics is your swim expert provider. We offer quality private swim instructions in the comfort of your own home or community pools. We believe everyone should know the safety of swimming therefore there are no age restrictions. We serve everyone.
